It takes real courage to consider therapy. Yet here you are, this is a great first step. The decision to come for therapy can stir up a lot of emotions, and that’s ok, I can guide you through your thoughts and emotions.

As therapy progresses, the answer of what feels right for you will often emerge. You may feel anxious, uncertain or even confused about what may happen in the therapy room, but challenging it and pursuing it is the beginning of the therapeutic process.

Who am I?

I am Erin Lo, an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist, practicing under the professional guidance of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I completed an extensive 5 year postgraduate training in Counselling & Psychotherapy at CCPE.

I have taken my own challenges in life. Courage is what led me to move abroad from Taiwan at the age of 12, and a change of career after 13 years of working in advertising. Courage does not come without fear – it is embracing that fear, relishing life’s insecurity and to trust that everything will be ok.

As your therapist, I am the mirror for you to reflect, a chance for introspection, discovery and growth.

Let me walk with you

Transpersonal psychotherapy is a form of therapy that combines the mind, body and soul. Together we face your life challenge, explore its meaning and potential for growth. I work with a variety of psychotherapy methods, which include working with the creative imagination, dreams, chair work, visualisation and mindfulness. Our approach will depend on you.

Therapy starts with an introductory session where we meet to explore your situation and circumstances. This will be an opportunity to check if therapy with me is right for you. From there, I recommend sessions at least once a week, there’s also a recommended 6-week initial period to allow time to settle in therapy. Following a review, therapy can become open-ended. Therapy can be conducted in Chinese if required.

You have a new story to write and it looks nothing like your past

Building a connection with my clients is of the utmost importance. In our sessions, I will carefully peel off your layers of life conditioning and expectations to identify the beliefs or “stories” that may not be yours to carry. By doing so, we can see what is no longer serving you in life.

I have a keen interest in human consciousness. I believe when we live a more conscious life, we are more likely to make different life choices that are in line with what our heart desires. When we can allow awareness into our lives, things become clearer, we become clearer. Consciousness allows us to break free from the mind limitation we bind ourselves to.

You owe it to yourself in this lifetime to be curious, just to see what is truly possible for us, and that takes courage.
